Draft — full policy pending counsel review.
Grouv, Inc. ("Grouv") operates grouv.co and the Grouv service. This page describes what we collect and why. It is an interim draft and will be replaced by a full policy reviewed by counsel.
What we collect
- Your mobile phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time code and to recognise you when you tap a Grouv tag.
- The first name you enter when you create or join a group.
- Records of taps and visits at participating venues, so that your group's visits can be counted and rewards earned.
- Technical records needed to run the service securely, such as a key stored on your phone and logs of sign-in attempts.
Text messages
We send one-time sign-in codes by text message to the number you enter. If you separately agree, we may also send occasional reminders about your group's visits. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any reminder to stop receiving them; sign-in codes are sent only when you request one. We never sell phone numbers.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, your contacts, or payment details. We do not read your messages.
Venues
Participating venues see counts of group visits and rewards. They do not see phone numbers.
Retention and deletion
Sign-in code records are kept for 90 days. You can delete your account from the Me page in the service; account data is removed when you do.
